0Ahsas translates into "feelings" and is definitely an understatement in describing this release. Solace blends a tapestry of complex rhythms and haunting melodies which makes one the most personal and powerful release to date.
Ahsas was originally titled Jihad, but because of the possible cultural ramifications, it was changed Ahsas which means ?feelings? in Arabic. In the beginning, the title Jihad was chosen because at the time of the recording, the artisit was involved in some personal struggles of her own. She was fighting a spiritual and emotional war within herself, so to speak. She wanted the artwork of Ahsas to reflect the pain that she had inflicted upon myself by choices that she had made. She felt that she had put too much of her emotional neediness onto another person. In some way she felt that she had betrayed herself. Writing Ahsas was a way to redeem herself.
